Use this checklist every time your agency takes on a new client. It takes you from creating the company in Accounts to sending the first post for review. Each step links to a detailed article.
Before you start
You need to be an owner or admin of your agency, or of the client's company, in Accounts.
Have the client's website address ready.
To connect the website later, you need login details for the client's CMS. See Required technical access (before you start).
To connect social media, you need access to the client's social media pages.

1. Create the company
In Accounts, go to Companies > Create Company.
Enter the company name and the website address.
If an Agency field appears, choose your agency. If you leave the default, the company is filed under UP-TO-DATE instead of your agency.
Create the company. The Company created! page confirms that an AI Memory workspace was set up for the client.
Under Pre-fill AI Memory from your website, click Yes, crawl my website. The platform starts reading the client's website. You can also click Skip for now and crawl later.
More detail: Managing companies and websites.
2. Approve the website crawl
The crawl runs in the background. Follow its progress in the Memory column of the Companies overview: Not started, In progress, To verify and finally Ready.
When the status shows To verify, open the company and go to its Memory tab.
Open the Sitemap tab and check the pages that were found and how they were categorised.
Click Approve. The memory status changes to Ready.
More detail: Approving a website crawl.
3. Complete the AI Memory
The better the AI Memory, the better every piece of content the AI writes for this client. Work through these parts in the company's Memory tab:
Memory: fill in the company profile cards. See Completing the company profile.
Branding > Company Branding: brand name, tagline, logo, colours and fonts. See Setting up Company Branding.
Branding > How we write: the house rules for tone and style. You can send the client a link to answer questions themselves. See How we write: house rules for the AI.
Branding > Content Examples: save examples of content the client likes. See Content Examples: showing the AI what good looks like.
Company summary: read everything the AI now knows and look for gaps. See The Company summary: review what the AI knows.
4. Connect the website
Connecting the client's CMS lets the AI App publish posts to the website.
In Accounts, open the company and go to the Websites tab.
Click Connect a Site and follow the steps for the client's CMS.
More detail: Connecting a website: the connection handler step by step.
5. Connect social media pages
Open the company in Accounts and go to the Social tab. Only company owners and admins can manage social pages.
Connect the client's pages, then link each page to the website it belongs to. A linked page becomes selectable for that website when you create posts.
More detail: Connecting social media accounts.
6. Set the approvers
Decide who reviews content before it goes live, for example a contact person at the client.
In Accounts, open the website and go to the Approval tab.
Add the reviewers and, if you like, CC addresses and a default message.
The AI App fills these in for you each time someone sends a post for review. More detail: Setting approvers per website.
7. Invite the client's users
Open the company in Accounts and go to Members > Invite Members.
Enter the email addresses.
Choose the role in the company: Admin reaches every website of the company, Member only reaches the websites you choose.
For Members, pick a website role per site, for example Reporter for someone who may create content that needs approval before it is published.
Send the invitations.
Tip: Members can view the AI Memory but not edit it. If a client contact should help maintain it, give them Can edit memory on the company's Members tab.
More detail: Inviting users and Roles and permissions explained.
8. Create the first topic ideas and post
Sign in to the AI App and select the client's website in the top bar. See Choosing your company and website.
Open the Topic Ideas card and generate ideas for the client. See Using Topic Ideas.
Turn an idea into a post with the AI Writer, then finish it in the blog editor. See Writing with the AI Writer and Writing and publishing in the blog editor.
9. Send the post for review
In the blog editor, click the Request review icon.
Check the reviewers, which are filled in from the website's Approval tab, and send the request.
The reviewer receives an email and can approve the post or ask for changes without signing in. More detail: Using the approval flow and Requesting client reviews.
