You use one account for Accounts, the AI App and every tool inside them. This article covers every way to sign in, how to create your account from an invitation, and what to do when you need to switch accounts or your session ends.
Your login page
Logins are handled by Accounts at accounts.uptodateconnect.com. When you arrive from an invitation or through your agency's own link, the login page shows your agency's logo and name and uses its colours. Otherwise you see the UP-TO-DATE branding.
Sign in with email and password
Go to accounts.uptodateconnect.com. You see Welcome back.
Enter your Email and Password.
On a device you trust, tick Remember me for 30 days.
Click Sign in.
If you turned on two-factor authentication, you are asked for a code next. See the two-factor authentication section below.
Sign in with Google, Facebook or a passkey
Under or continue with, click the Google or Facebook icon and choose your account. Use the Google or Facebook account with the same email address as your platform account, so you land in the right account.
A passkey lets you sign in with Face ID, a fingerprint or your device PIN instead of a password:
Click the passkey icon under or continue with.
If you signed in with a passkey on this device before, a Sign in with Face ID button also appears at the top of the form.
You add passkeys in Accounts under Settings > Security. See Managing your profile, password and security.
Note: If you accept an invitation with Google and pick a Google account with a different email address, the login page tells you which address the invitation is for. Choose that account on the Google screen, or sign in with that email address.
Two-factor authentication
When two-factor authentication is on, you see Check your email after entering your password.
Open the email with your 6-digit code.
Enter it under Verification code.
Click Verify and sign in.
If the email doesn't arrive, click Resend code. If you can't get to your email, click Use a backup code instead, enter one of the backup codes you saved when you turned on two-factor authentication, and click Verify and sign in.
Forgot your password
On the login page, click Forgot password?.
Enter your email address and click Send reset link.
Open the email and click the link.
Enter your new password twice. It needs at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character.
Click Reset password, then sign in with your new password.
On the AI App login page, the Forgot password button takes you to the same screen and brings you back to the AI App afterwards.
Create your account from an invitation
When someone invites you to an agency, company, team or website, you receive an email with a link.
Click the link in the email. The You're invited page shows who invited you and to what.
If you already have an account with that email address, click Sign in to accept. If not, click Create account & accept.
On Create an account, fill in your First name and Last name. Your email address is already filled in and locked, because the invitation was sent to it.
Choose a password, confirm it and click Create account. You can also use Google or Facebook under or sign up with.
Invitations are valid for 7 days. If yours has expired, you see Invitation expired: ask the person who invited you to send a new one. If you open the link while signed in with another email address, you see Wrong account. Sign out and sign in with the invited email address to accept.
More detail for the person sending invitations: Inviting users.
Tip: You can also create an account without an invitation with Sign up on the login page. You won't see any client companies until someone invites you or you create a company yourself.
Personalize your AI
When you create your account directly on the Accounts site, you may land on a welcome page that asks you to fill in your AI Profile. The AI uses it to match your personal style in chat, drafts and tasks. This step is optional.
Fill in the form.
Click Save Personal Memory inside the form. The buttons below the form don't save it for you.
Click the Done button to go to the dashboard, or click Skip for now.
You can edit your AI Profile later in Accounts under Memory > AI Profile.
Sign in to the AI App
The AI App at app.uptodateconnect.com uses your Accounts login.
Go to app.uptodateconnect.com.
Click Continue with UP-TO-DATE. When the login page carries your agency's branding, the button shows your agency's name instead.
If you are already signed in to Accounts, you go straight in. If not, sign in on the Accounts login page as described above.
You see Completing sign in... and then the AI App dashboard.
The AI App remembers your agency's branding on this browser, so the login page keeps your agency's look the next time you sign in.
If something goes wrong, you see Sign in failed. Click Try again. To create a new account from the AI App, click Create user under Need an account? Register here.
Switch to a different account
Sign out in the AI App signs you out of both the AI App and Accounts, and brings you back to your login page. To sign in as someone else:
In the AI App, click your avatar and choose Sign out.
On the login page, sign in with the other account.
To work on another client with the same account, you don't need to sign out. See Choosing your company and website.
When your session expires
If your session in the AI App ends, you see Login required with the message that the session has expired. Click Login and sign in again.
In Accounts, an expired session takes you to the login page. After you sign in, you return to the page you were on.
