Company Branding records a client's visual identity: brand name, tagline, description, logo, images, fonts and colors. A scan of the website fills most of it in, and everything it finds stays editable. It is the first of four sections on the Branding tab, next to How we write, Content Examples and Visual templates.
Before you start
You need edit rights on the company memory. See What AI Memory is and how it is organised.
Branding normally fills in by itself shortly after a website is added to the company. If the fields are still empty, scan the site yourself as described below.
Scan the website
Open AI Memory and go to Branding > Company Branding.
Check the address in the Enter website URL to scan... box at the top. Type the client's website if it is empty.
Click Scan. The button reads Scanning... while it works.
When it finishes, a message confirms the site was scanned and that your writing rules are being drafted under How we write.
The line under the toolbar shows the date and time the website was last read.
Note: A scan also drafts house rules for How we write. The tab shows a number badge when suggestions are waiting there. Nothing becomes a rule until someone accepts it. See How we write: house rules for the AI.

Brand Identity
Company logo: click the logo to change it. You can pick another image the scan found or paste an image address. A logo you choose by hand is kept, even when you scan again.
Brand Name and Website.
Tagline: the client's short slogan or one-line description.
Brand Description: a short description of the brand identity. The scan writes one, or you can write your own.
Images: images found on the website. Remove any that don't represent the client.
Fonts: Primary Font and Secondary Font, with a preview.
Colors: the brand's color palette. Correct or add colors with their hex code (for example #2A9AD6).
Changes save automatically about a second after you edit. The Save button in the toolbar reads Saved when everything is stored.
Confirm the branding
When everything is correct, click Looks good! at the bottom of the section. The button changes to Confirmed.
To read the website again later, for example after a redesign, click Re-scan (or Scan in the toolbar). A new scan updates what it finds but keeps a logo you picked by hand.
Where Company Branding is used
The client's logo and brand color appear on the How we write questionnaire page you send to the client with Ask the client.
The scan is the starting point for the house rules in How we write.
Visual templates, in the same Branding tab, set the image formats the AI image creator follows. See Content Examples: showing the AI what good looks like and Creating images with Image Creator.
Tip: Tone of voice isn't set here. It is the Tone of voice rule under How we write, which the AI reads for everything it writes.
