The platform can take a lot of writing work off your hands, but nothing reaches a client's website without someone choosing to publish or schedule it. This article explains which steps are automated, where the human checkpoints are, and how to combine them per client.
What the AI does for you
Writing a series of drafts in the background
In the Post Planner, Save & Start Writing writes a blog post draft for every item in your plan. You can also start this later from a saved plan with Generate Content. See Using the Post Planner and Content Proposals, Ideas and Content Plans.
The writing runs on the server, so you can close the page.
Progress shows in the Task Queue. How long it takes depends on the number of posts.
Each finished post arrives as a Draft in the Posts overview, dated according to the plan's schedule. You get a bell notification that opens the post in the blog editor.
Drafts are not published automatically. Someone has to review them and publish, schedule or send them for approval.
Writing a single draft on request
Topic Ideas: clicking a title starts a short draft in the AI Writer right away. See Using Topic Ideas.
AI Writer and AI Chat: you generate the text and decide whether to send it to the blog editor. See Writing with the AI Writer and Using AI Chat.
Filling in the details at publish time
When you click Publish in the blog editor, the AI fills in anything that is still empty before the review panel opens:
the social media text for the post,
the permalink,
the meta description (on sites that support SEO fields).
You check all of it in the review panel before you confirm. See Writing and publishing in the blog editor.
Translating on publish
On multilingual websites, the languages set under Default Translation Languages in Blog Settings are pre-selected in the blog editor. When you publish, the Translation Options window lists them. Ticked languages are translated by AI, unticked languages are skipped. You make that choice for every post.
Publishing at the planned time
Blog posts with a publication date are published automatically when that date arrives.
Social posts you schedule are published automatically at the chosen time.
When a blog post is published with social accounts selected, the social post goes out within a couple of minutes.
Where people stay in control
Roles
Give client staff who write but shouldn't publish the Reporter role on the website. Their Publish button becomes Submit for approval, so a reviewer always decides. See Roles and permissions explained.
The approval flow
Send posts to reviewers with Request review in the blog editor or Send for Approval in the Posts overview. Reviewers approve or ask for changes, and you see their response under Reviews. See Using the approval flow.
Client review
The review page lets the client correct the text and approve it without logging in. This adds the client's own sign-off. See Requesting client reviews.
Switching off automatic social text
In the Posts overview, open Blog Settings and switch on Disable AI Automation under AI Settings. The blog editor then no longer writes the social media text for you; you write it yourself per channel. This setting does not affect the other AI tools, background drafting, translation or publishing. See The Posts overview: finding and managing posts.
Recommended setups
New client, first months
AI drafts from the Post Planner, an agency copywriter edits each draft, then a client review before publishing.
Use Save & Start Writing for a month of posts.
Edit the drafts in the blog editor.
Send them to the client with Send for Approval in the Posts overview.
This builds trust and shows everyone what quality to expect.
Established client, managed by the agency
AI drafts, one internal approval, then scheduled publishing.
Set agency staff as the website's default reviewers in Accounts.
After approval, give each post a publication date so it goes out on its own.
The client writes too
Give client users the Reporter role. Everything they write goes to your agency's reviewers before it is published.
Sensitive sectors
Keep every publish manual.
Use AI Chat and the AI Writer as writing aids, not the background drafting.
Switch on Disable AI Automation so you write every social text yourself.
Always send posts for client review.
Tip: Let the AI handle volume, and let people protect reputation. Anything the client will be judged on deserves at least one human check, and the approval flow makes that check quick.
