This article covers problems on the AI App dashboard (app.uptodateconnect.com): cards that are missing, popups that block a feature, and access that doesn't match what your agency admin set up in Accounts. For a tour of the dashboard, see A tour of the AI App dashboard.
How the dashboard decides what you see
The cards on your dashboard depend on two things:
The website you have selected in the site selector in the top bar. Your role can be different on every website.
Your role on that website or company, as set in Accounts. Which apps a role gets is part of your UP-TO-DATE setup.
When something is missing, check the selected website first. See Choosing your company and website and Roles and permissions explained.
Empty or incomplete dashboard
"No apps assigned yet"
What it means: "Your role in this workspace doesn't include any apps yet." You're signed in, but your role on the selected workspace doesn't give you any cards.
What to do:
Click Switch workspace and check you're on the right company and website. You may have a different role elsewhere.
If you were given access a moment ago, click Refresh.
If it's still empty, ask your agency admin to check your role on that company and website in Accounts.
If your role is right and the dashboard is still empty, contact the UP-TO-DATE support team. Apps are enabled for your agency by UP-TO-DATE.
A card you expect is missing
What it means: The card isn't part of your role on the selected website. Some cards are hidden for the Reporter role, for example Post Planner, Statistics and Search Stats. The Content Plans section only shows for some website roles.
What to do:
Check the selected website in the top bar. Switch to the website where you expect the card.
Open the avatar menu and click Reload Access to load your latest access.
If the card still isn't there, ask your agency admin which role you have on that website. A higher role may be needed. See Roles and permissions explained.
"No Account Registered yet."
What it means: "Create your company in UP-TO-DATE Accounts to get started, or ask your administrator to invite you." Your account isn't a member of any company yet.
What to do: If you work for an agency client, ask your agency admin to invite you to the company. If you're setting up a new client yourself, create the company in Accounts. See Inviting users and Managing companies and websites.
"Continue with limited access"
What it means: In the Select/Change Default Account window, a company shows "No website connected yet". You can open the company, but features that need a website (such as blog posts) won't work.
What to do: Choose Continue with limited access to use what's available, and connect the client's website when you can. See Connecting a website: the connection handler step by step.
Popups that block a feature
"This feature is only available when you connect your website."
What it means: The feature you used needs a website, and no website is selected. You see this, for example, when you send a reply from AI Chat to a blog post.
What to do:
If the company has a website, click Cancel, pick the website in the site selector in the top bar, and try again.
If it has no website yet, click Connect site and connect one.
"It appears that your account doesn't have access to this version of the app."
What it means: The selected account isn't set up for the AI features of the app.
What to do:
If the popup shows switch to the account with AI Access., click it and pick another account you have access to.
If you think this is a mistake, fill in the form in the popup.
You can also contact your agency admin or the UP-TO-DATE support team and ask them to check the account's access.
No website selected
The top bar shows "Connect your website." and "Switch account"
What it means: No website is selected. The top bar shows the company name instead of a website.
What to do:
Click Switch account to pick a company and website in the Select/Change Default Account window.
Click Connect your website. if the company has no website yet.
"No sites found"
What it means: The Select Your Site window has no websites to show for your account.
What to do: Ask your agency admin to give you access to a website of the company, or connect one. After access is granted, open the avatar menu and click Reload Access.
Access that hasn't updated
Your role changed but the dashboard looks the same
What it means: The AI App keeps a copy of your access while you work. It checks for changes when you come back to the browser tab, at most once a minute.
What to do:
Open the avatar menu and click Reload Access.
If that doesn't help, reload the browser page.
If it still looks wrong, sign out from the avatar menu and sign in again.
"Website access changed"
What it means: "Your access to that website has changed, so it's been deselected. Pick a website to carry on." Your access to the selected website was removed, so the app cleared the selection.
What to do: Pick another website in the window that opens. If you should still have access, ask your agency admin to check your role on that website.
AI Memory keeps showing "Loading..."
What it means: AI Memory opens the memory of the selected company. If no company is selected, it can't open anything.
What to do: Select a company and website with Switch account, then open the AI Memory card again. See Troubleshooting: AI Memory.
"Login required"
What it means: "The session has been expired. Please login to continue."
What to do: Click Login and sign in again. See Troubleshooting: signing in and access.
