Your account settings live in Accounts and apply to every app you sign in to. This article covers your profile, your password, two-factor authentication and passkeys.
Open your settings
In Accounts, click Settings in the sidebar, or open your avatar menu in the top-right corner and choose Profile or Settings.
Update your profile
On the Profile tab:
Under Profile Picture, upload a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF image of up to 2 MB. It is saved right away.
Under Personal Information, update First Name, Last Name, Display Name and Phone Number. The display name is how your name appears to others.
Click Save Changes.
Your Email is shown with a Verified or Unverified badge. You can't change it here.
Account Information shows when your account was created.
Change your password
On the Security tab, under Change Password:
Enter your Current Password.
Enter a New Password of at least 8 characters.
Repeat it in Confirm New Password.
Click Change Password.
If you forgot your password, sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. See Signing in to your account.
Turn on two-factor authentication
With two-factor authentication, every sign-in asks for a 6-digit code sent to your email.
On the Security tab, under Two-Factor Authentication, switch on Email verification code.
In Enable Two-Factor Authentication, enter your password under Confirm your password.
Click Enable 2FA.
The Save Your Backup Codes window shows 10 backup codes. Click a code to copy it, or click Copy All.
Store the codes somewhere safe, such as a password manager, then click I've saved my backup codes.
Each backup code works once. Use one if you can't reach your email when you sign in.
Important: The backup codes are only shown once. Save them before you close the window.
To turn two-factor authentication off, switch Email verification code off, confirm your password and click Disable 2FA.
Add a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or other biometrics instead of typing your password.
On the Security tab, go to Passkeys.
Click Add Passkey and follow your device's prompt.
The passkey appears in the list with the date it was added and last used.
To manage a passkey, use the pencil icon to rename it (for example "Work laptop") or the trash icon to delete it. Delete passkeys for devices you no longer use.
